Cafecito serves barbacoa, chorizo, egg, and other delectable proteins on hand-pressed pink tortillas for breakfast and brunch crowds. The Near Southside restaurant is also known for authentic Mexican coffee (try the cinnamon-kissed café de olla). On a recent visit, I savored every bite of their hefty barbacoa taco while my usually picky daughter finished off her egg taco. The family-owned business treats customers (both new and old) like longtime friends.
Brix Barbecue recently snagged digital ink for their fiery fried chicken sandwich. Their barbacoa taco features slow-smoked beef cheek topped with house-made chimichurri and pickled red onion — served on a hefty flour tortilla.
