Panther City's Swankiest Bars

In the mood for a classy bar? Panther City has an abundance. But if you’re looking for something swankier, try these discerning bars that provide intimacy and pay attention to detail.

Maiden | Fine Plants & Spirits

With a menu that shifts every equinox and solstice, Maiden is always on the celestial move. The space is warmly inviting in its unique minimalist way. Velvety marine-blue seating and wood panels create a welcoming environment where patrons can enjoy dishes like confit of walnuts, zucchini, and sunflower seeds on toast or heartier options. The menu boasts classic and alcohol-free cocktails, including the harmoniously blended Warm Welcome (Lalo Tequila, Luxardo Amaretto, orange juice, and ginger juice).

Atlas Bar Fort Worth

Atlas Bar Fort Worth exudes timeless charm. The mashup of Victorian-era and surrealist elements comes to life at night. Atlas’ Old Fashioned embodies sophistication and simplicity — the ideal balance of whiskey, sweetness, and bitters. Garnished with a twist of orange peel, the cocktail left a tantalizing aroma.

Wicked Butcher

Located just south of Sundance Square Plaza, Wicked Butcher is a spacious and cozy destination where Art Deco meets modern refinement. The restaurant blends contemporary decor with Western flair under sultry lighting. Edison bulbs and subway tile walls add to the chic vibe. The restaurant blends contemporary decor with Western flair under sultry lighting. The space feels comfortable without being overcrowded, and the bartenders are attentive without being intrusive.

Toro Toro

Worthington Renaissance Hotel’s $8 million revamp has paid dividends. The centerpiece of the main lobby is Toro Toro, a Latin steakhouse with an immaculate bar. Topped with sweeping high ceilings accented by a flock of golden steer heads, the space is elegant and grand, with elaborate metalwork, plush fabrics, and natural stone. Rich red, graphite, and golden tones create a strikingly intimate ambiance.

Blackland Distillery

From the minimalist chandeliers to the lovely horseshoe bar that partitions the rich and dark tasting room, Blackland Distillery exudes refinement. Fort Worth’s destined-for-stardom espresso martini, Texpresso Martini, is a rich and indulgent blend with prominent pecan, coffee, and brown sugar notes.

Bar Dryce

Bar Dryce is a cultural magnet that attracts artists, photographers, and folks who appreciate artists and photographers. The attached hotel welcomes visitors from abroad to this local bar that blends elements of light wood, concrete, marigold, and cooler hues. We recommend ordering artfully composed cocktails or zero-proof mixed drinks like the Texas Sun (jalapeño syrup, pineapple juice, lime, and a tajín rim).

As Panther City Social’s co-owner James Talambas says, “Swank requires attention to detail, an intention of intimacy, and a culture of service. Swank comes from the soul of the place: It comes from a constant thoughtfulness, to know that you feel my experience matters. A place with swank makes a person feel valued from the time you walk in until the moment you leave.”

Panther City Social proudly features cocktails from Bar Dryce, Blackland Distillery, Atlas Bar Fort Worth, and Maiden | Fine Plants & Spirits on our Panther City Pass
