Gabby and J/O/E: Meet the Couple Behind Panther City Pass' Cocktail Guide Launch

Agustine Gonzalez

For the launch of the Panther City Pass cocktail guide, we snagged some time with local rapper J/O/E and singer-songwriter Gabby Minton to capture the look and feel of a night out with our curated cocktail guides.

Joe and Gabby were the perfect couple to work with. Brewed-up Joe is no stranger to camera shoots. His effortlessly cool swagger helped launch Rahr & Son’s Dadgum IPA, thanks to the vision of Rahr’s then-creative director, Jeff Wood. Gabby is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist and rising star. In between shots, she grabbed her phone to show off one of the hundreds of photos she had snagged of her kiddos. The proud mom balances work, family, and career ambitions while somehow finding time to champion the local music scene.

Photojournalist Agustine Gonzalez lent his edgy, graphic-novel-esque sensibilities to the final cut of images that capture the smitten couple in intimate moments along with suggestive shots removed from time and place. The images owe much to the warm, crimson environs of Low Doubt Bar, where locals are learning that a nondescript sign pointing down a well-worn alley leads to warm welcomes and superlative cocktails.
