Zero-Proof Cocktails Are Coming!

Bar culture has always reflected broader societal trends. The availability of non-alcoholic cocktails and beers is beginning to meet consumer demand as many Americans cut back on booze. Sobriety — oft associated with shunning bars and any form of a buzz — has taken on a more nuanced meaning as folks who quit “drinking” turn to kava, cannabis, and other botanical alternatives.

We’re excited to feature new bars and familiar destinations from our current Cocktail Guide. Game Theory, South Main’s popular destination for meat pies (the Viet Philly will change your life), drinks, and board games, offers two mocktails for $5: The Mock-Tai or Mock-Jito. 

Race Street’s newcomer restaurant, The Tropic Lady, will feature a $5 Dango Jr. or $5 Lil Pink Lady while its sister restaurant, The Bearded Lady, will feature a $5 Blueberry Mojito. Proper Bar’s C&C Frappe is a java-forward libation crafted with Noix De Coco, cream, sugar, soda, and nutmeg that we can’t wait for you to try.  

We have kava options, too. Kava Culture Kava Bar is offering discounts on its botanical drinks that can be made with kava, kratom, and Delta-9. South Main’s The Cicada will give passport holders discounts on their popular Dank Drinks that can be mixed with Delta-9 cannabis spirits.
